Silver Linings Screening Series

ILLUMINATE's Silver Linings Screening Series, which launched May 14, 2020, is a month-long, free weekly virtual movie series exhibiting life-affirming films, live discussions and immersive experiences designed to bring the community together and guide us as we begin to emerge from this coronavirus quarantine period, coined by many as "The Great Pause."

"The late Barbara Marx Hubbard taught us that crisis breeds innovation," says Danette Wolpert, executive director of the ILLUMINATE Film Festival. "If we are to embrace her teachings, we not only question the new normal that is emerging, we create it. And we know the changes, if they are to be widespread and lasting, begin within. Films and media can plant the seed of change within us, help us to make new choices, dream new dreams and create new ways to live, so that we may look back a year or more from now and see this Great Pause as the driver of who we have become."

Films and ensuing Q&As & Reel Healings will address themes such as resilience, overcoming adversity, getting beyond fear, coming together, the hero's journey, optimismand finding freedom within
