ILLUMINATE is mostly a Volunteer Run Organization

Our amazing volunteers have helped to create the transformational experiences of the ILLUMINATE Film Festival. We are dedicated to supporting the mission to elevate human consciousness and inspire lasting transformation through cinema.

We welcome volunteers at all levels of service and our energy exchange benefits correspond to your available time to volunteer.

Pre-Event Volunteers: these volunteers help where they can (such as Marketing Outreach and distribution of marketing materials).
At-Event Volunteers: these volunteers sign up for shifts of work during the event only.

SANTA BARBARA VOLUNTEER OPTIONS AND BENEFITS*

Santa Barbara Pre-Event Volunteer
Required: Minimum of 4 hours
Benefit: Coordinators & Leads receive an Staff Badge.
Ground team receives 1 Volunteer Voucher (for 2 films) per 4 hours worked.

Santa Barbara At-Event Volunteer
Required: Minimum of 4 hours
Benefit: Attend in-person screenings (during your work shift) on a space-available basis.
Otherwise, 1 Volunteer Voucher (for 2 films) per 4 hours worked.

*Note: we cannot accommodate volunteers who live outside the Santa Barbara, CA area.
