Families—young and old alike—will revel in this live-action animated film featuring riveting music by Tina Turner. Based on the teachings of world-renowned Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, Planting Seeds of Mindfulness explores our teenage hero's growth through meditation. As his grandfather teaches him, he transforms his outlook on life to resonate peace, love and compassion instead of teenage angst over his trials. He harnesses a powerful tool, which children, parents and teachers can develop to promote peace within and in the world around us. Parents, grandparents, and extended family will thoroughly enjoy this film with their children ages 5-13.

REEL HEALING: Creating Mindful Moments with Family
Stay after the film for a fun-filled playshop for children ages 5 through 13 and their families. Learn and practice sanity-saving mindfulness techniques. Sitara Van Block, a transpersonal therapist, will lead us in creative movement, discussion, crafts and meditation exercises. Sitara has worked with children and in the practices of yoga and consciousness for 25 years. These techniques are a must for conscious parenting, as they help families problem-solve ordinary, everyday issues from home, school and community. Take home your very own meditation pebbles to support your family’s personal practice.
