LLUMINATE 2015 SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

FEATURE COMPETITION: The Competition section exhibits mind-body-spirit-focused feature-length narratives and documentaries that have their World, International or U.S. Premiere at ILLUMINATE. Films will be judged by a jury of reputable film industry professionals.

  • Features mind-body-spirit-focused stories or themes (e.g. consciousness, wellness, self- discovery/human journey, mind-body science, spirituality, yoga, meditation, organic and plant-based nutrition or sustainable living)
  • Must be a World, International or US Premiere at IFF 2015
  • Must be 50 minutes or longer in total runtime
  • Must not have been or be scheduled for public consumption through any form of public broadcast (including internet) or commercial theatrical engagement in the US prior to June 1, 2015
  • Exhibition format must be DCP or Blu-ray

FEATURES (Non-Competition): This submission category encompasses all conscious narrative or documentary features, which may be programmed in our Contemporary Conscious Cinema, Reel Healing, Spotlight, Encore or Retrospective sections

  • Features mind-body-spirit-focused stories or themes (e.g. consciousness, wellness, self- discovery/human journey, mind-body science, spirituality, yoga, meditation, organic and plant-based nutrition or sustainable living)
  • Must be 50 minutes or longer in total runtime • Preference will be given to World, International and U.S. premieres, but must be at minimum a Sedona Premiere at IFF 2015
  • Must not have been or be scheduled for public consumption through commercial theatrical engagement in the US prior to June 1, 2015
  • Preference will be given to films that have NOT been available to the public through public broadcast, internet or DVD.
  • Film's world premiere must have occurred after June 1, 2014 (except Retrospective submissions)
  • Exhibition format must be DCP or Blu-ray

SHORTS: This submission category encompasses all conscious narrative or documentary short films, which may be programmed in any Festival section

  • Features mind-body-spirit-focused stories or themes (e.g. consciousness, wellness, self- discovery/human journey, mind-body science, spirituality, yoga, meditation, organic and plant-based nutrition or sustainable living)
  • Must be no longer than 40 minutes in total runtime
  • Must be at minimum a Sedona Premiere at IFF 2015
  • Preference will be given to films that have NOT been available to the public through public broadcast, internet or DVD
  • Exhibition format must be DCP or Blu-ray
